The TerraBloom 8" Inline Fan (Model TB-MFIF-8) is a mixed-flow design, inline duct fan suitable for a wide range of ventilation applications. Its primary purpose is to exhaust or intake air through ducting. This fan can be used to eliminate odors when combined with Activated Charcoal Carbon Filters (Scrubbers) in grow tents or indoor gardens. When using the fan with a carbon filter, it should be attached as close to the filter's duct collar as possible, and the number of elbows or turns in the ducting should be minimized, as each turn/elbow can reduce the airflow output by 10-12%.
This duct fan can also be used as an intake fan to supply fresh air from the outside, as well as to mitigate unwanted moisture and stale air in attics and basements. Due to its compact dimensions and light weight, this duct fan is easy to install in areas with limited space. The inline fan has a removable central assembly, making maintenance and cleaning easier. To remove the central section of the fan, the user can pry up and remove two grey buckles on top of the unit and twist the central section by 30° while keeping the side shrouds in place.
The TB-MFIF-6 Fan comes with a variable speed controller built into the power cord, allowing the user to select the fan's speed anywhere between 60% to 100% of the maximum output. To prevent the AC motor from overheating, selecting a speed less than 60% is not advisable, as the built-in speed controller does not allow for speeds less than 50% of the maximum output.
Made from ABS Plastic, this inline fan weighs only 7.7 Lb. and is equipped with a built-in speed controller, which allows the user to slow the fan's motor from 100% output down to 60% to minimize noise.
